Painting Pianos: On-going Volunteer Opportunity

Sing for Hope: Uplifting Lives Through the Arts

Sing for Hope is an arts access nonprofit based New York City. If you have ever seen the beautifully decorated pianos placed throughout the city -- that's us! But more importantly, through the generous time and talent given by Volunteer Artists (of a wide variety of artistic disciplines), we bring year-round programming to those who don't have regular access to the arts. We work with folks in nursing homes, hospitals, veterans centers, those with memory loss or disabilities, high school students, and more!

Autistic Girls : On-going Volunteer Opportunity

My Circle of Girls: A group for girls on the autism spectrum

The group is for girls, ages 5-15, and meets on the first and third Saturdays of each month in Queens. The focus of the group is to promote social interaction and support among the girls as well as the caregivers who bring them. Volunteering with this group is an opportunity to gain experience working with this population and building therapeutic skills.

They are looking for volunteers to help support the person running the group or even run the group themselves. In the past we have done dance themed groups, cooking themed groups, art themed groups etc...
